In the last lap of the month of Ramadan, Gov AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq of Kwara and Chairman of the Nigeria Governors Forum (NGF), was in Mecca to join other Muslim faithful to perform the Lesser Hajj.
A statement issued on Friday by his Chief Press Secretary Rafiu Ajakaye, quoted the Governor saying it was a privilege for him to again join other servants of God from across the world to perform the Lesser Hajj at the pristine House of God (Kaabah) in Makkah.
“The large gathering at the blessed House of Allaah is a remembrance of the oneness of the human community and a need for us to act as such in our daily endeavors for peace and progress.
“It is a moment for introspection and a time to seek the blessings of God on the human race, our state Kwara, Nigeria, Mr. President and his team, and everyone.
“May Allah grant us the blessings of the Night of Majesty (Laylatul Qadr), ease our affairs, and keep our feet firm on the right path.
“May we witness many more Ramadan in good health and faith in God. Aamin,” the Governor said.
