Kidnappers Release NTA Staff, Family After N5m Ransom Payment

Thirteen days after the Kidnapping of a journalist, his wife and two siblings, armed bandits terrorizing Birnin-Gwari have finally regained freedom after a ransom of five million naira was paid. They were released around 7.15am at Tasha Keji near Kuriga along Birnin-Gwari-Kaduna highways. The Sultan of Sokoto, Sa’ad Abubakar III and President, Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Rev. Court Remands Man, 35, For Raping 67-Year-Old Woman

A 35-year-old man, Samuel Gbodogbe, was on Monday brought before a Badagry Chief Magistrates’ Court in Lagos for allegedly raping a 67-year-old woman, Mrs Ayinke Ogunade. Gbodogbe, whose address was not stated, is facing a four-count charge of rape, indecent assault, sexual assault and breach of peace.
