Italian Christian Daghio has tragically died after a boxing title fight in Bangkok, Thailand. The 49-year-old, a former champion in Muay Thai and boxing, passed away in the hospital Friday after he was put in a coma due to injuries suffered during the WBC Asia title match against Don Parueang on October 26. Zambia has lost one of its top female football referees after she succumbed on Wednesday morning to injuries sustained in an accident on Saturday. Leah Namukonda, one of two female FIFA accredited officials, died at Ndola Central Hospital in northern Zambia where she was admitted. The Leicester City owner’s helicopter has crashed in a car park outside the club’s ground as it left the stadium following a Premier League match. Vichai Srivaddhanaprabha was in the helicopter when it came down at about 20:30 BST on Saturday, a source close to the family has said. Sierra Leonean Referee Collapses During Match, Dies

Sierra Leonean referee Victor Marah died after collapsing while officiating a community league football match in Freetown on Tuesday. The incident happened a few minutes before the end of a well-attended match between Kroo Bay and Falcon 12 FC. Attempts were made to revive the 27-year-old but he was pronounced dead after being rushed to hospital. The exact cause of death is not yet known. Marah took part in a Confederation of African Football (Caf) referees’ course in Cairo just a few weeks ago.
