Rivers Gov Fubara moves within APC’s panel for internal conflicts

Rivers State Governor Siminalayi Fubara has made move to meet with the Committee on Strategy, Conflict Resolution, and Mobilisation in relation to the conflicts within the party in his state.

On a Monday, he gathered with other key leaders at the party’s first meeting of the Committee on Strategy, Conflict Resolution, and Mobilisation. This group aims to tackle internal conflicts and any rising challenges within the party.

Leading the committee is Yobe State’s Governor, Mai Mala Buni. He’s joined by fellow governors from Kwara, Imo, Benue, Kaduna, Jigawa, Cross River, Ekiti, and Delta. Notable members include Senator Adamu Aliero, Marine and Blue Economy Minister Adegboyega Oyetola, Defence Minister Bello Matawalle, and former Kogi State Governor Yahaya Bello.

The committee’s Secretary is Muiz Banire (SAN), and it also features the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Political Affairs, Alhaji Ibrahim Masari.

At the launch of this committee last December, Governor Buni emphasized the need for strategic discussions and consultations. His goal To foster an inclusive environment where both new and existing members, particularly those feeling left out, can reclaim their sense of belonging. He also stressed the importance of prioritizing the party’s unity over personal agendas.
