The political crisis rocking the Lagos State House of Assembly (LAHA) assumed a new dimension in Monday with the impeachment of the Speaker Right Honourable Mudashiru Obasa and the emergence of another Speaker Honourable Mojisola Meranda.
With Hon Moji Ojora becomes new Speaker, Hon. Mojeed Fatai, became the new Deputy Speaker.
The crisis became pronounced few weeks ago when members Governors Advisory Council (GAC) formally reported the misunderstanding between former Speaker Obama and Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu to President Bola Tinubu during his New Year break in Lagos.
It was gathered that the political undercurrent is the ambition of the Impeached Speaker to contest the Governorship ticket of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lagos State.
