Kwara Poly honours Gov AbdulRazaq, Oyedepo, Gambari, others at award night

Bishop David Oyedepo of Winners Chapel and Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq were among the 50 eminent personalities honoured at the Kwara State Polytechnic fund raising and award night on Friday evening.
They were recognized for their individual contribution to the growth of the Polytechnic.
Bishop Oyedepo is the , Chancellor Landmark and Covenant universities, Omu-Aran, Kwara and Otta, Ogun State, respectively, while Gov AbdulRazaq is the Visitor to the Polytechnic.
The event was part of the 50th Anniversary celebration of the higher institution which began earlier in the week.
Among the 50 awardees were Prof Ibrahim Gambari, Chief of Staff to President Mohammadu Buhari.
Speaking on the award, Engr. Dr Abdul Jimoh Muhammed, Rector, of the polytechnic, said;”The 50th anniversary of the polytechnic affords us opportunity to remember our founding fathers and eminent pillars of the society”.

Also, Engr Abu Salami, Protem President, Kwara State Polytechnic Alumni Worldwide, noted that at 50 years of existence, the institution cannot move forward without reappraisal.
“Part of the reappraisal is to award individuals who have proven meritorious with honours,” he said.
The awardees also include Brig. Gen David Bamigboye and Group Captain Salaudeen Olatinwo, former military governors of the state.
They also include late Prof Sheu Jimoh, a former chairman, governing council of the polytechnic; Senator Saliu Mustapha, Chief Abdulraheem Oladimeji, the Jagunmolu of Igbaja and Chancellor, Al-Hikma University, Ilorin.
