Enugu State Fire Service boss, Mr Okwudili Ohaa, has hailed Governor Peter Mbah for constantly rewarding party loyalty, hard work, commitment and sacrifice.
He particularly hailed the appointment of seasoned technocrat, Sir Chinyeaka Ohaa, as Chairman, Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) Governing Board.
Ohaa told newsmen in Enugu on Friday that the appointment, which had been applauded by statesmen and residents, “is putting a round peg in a round hole”.
He said that Ohaa had worked hard for the PDP at national and Enugu State levels.
“Ohaa championed and led various campaigns for PDP during the 2023 General Elections which led to the party’s resounding victory at the polls in the state.”
The director expressed confidence that Ohaa would bring his many years of experience as a technocrat, who worked to the level of Federal Permanent Secretary, to take ESUT to a higher level.
“Everybody was happy when the announcement of the appointment was made.
“In fact in the past eight years, there was no appointment that was celebrated like that of Sir Chinyeaka Ohaa as Chairman ESUT Governing Board.
“It is good that people that have worked and have interest of the nation, state and people at heart are being recognised, not people that pretend to have worked but are full of their personal selfish interest.”
