The 2023 batch ‘C’, stream two corps members deployed to Katsina State for their one- year service to the nation, have organised a carnival to showcase Nigeria’s diverse Culture.
The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) Coordinator in the state, Hajiya Aisha Muhammad, at the event in Katsina on Monday, commended the corps members.

According to her, the event was aimed to preserve, promote Nigeria cultural heritage and emphasise the importance of respect for traditions regardless of ethnic backgrounds.
The NYSC Coordinator further encouraged all Corps Members to actively contribute to the promotion of the country’s diverse cultural values.
Muhammad added that the carnival served as a platform to celebrate and cherish the rich diversity of Nigeria traditions, saying that it was their best celebration in recent times.
“The carnival featured a show of various cultures, featuring performances from different ethnic groups, including the Urhobos, Efik, the Jukuns, Yoruba, Tiv, Fulani, Edo, Hausa, and Igbo,” she said.


The District Head of Dandagoro, Alhaji Muttaka Magaji-Dandagoro, and other dignitaries graced the occasion.
Platoon seven which represented the Fulani Culture, gave a traditional Chieftaincy Title to the State’s Coordinator alongside with two rams. (NAN)
