Popular artiste, Timaya was recently a guest of Bayelsa State Governor Douye Diri in Yenagoa, the state capital.

Governor Diri said: ”I just received our homeboy, Inetimi Odon, popularly known as Timaya, the multiple award-winning Nigerian music star at the Government House in Yenagoa.
Timaya is a worthy son of my community, Sampou, in Kolokuma/Opokuma LGA and of Bayelsa State.
For Timaya, it is indeed Ijaw Nation to the world. I have fond memories of him growing up and he has told me that he has come back to contribute to the development of our great State.
