Osun Gov Adeleke hails military, pledges support

Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State has praised the military for their tireless efforts, dedication, and sacrifices in ensuring the safety of lives and property nationwide.

Governor Adeleke, represented by his Deputy, Mr Kola Adewusi, gave the commendation during a courtesy visit by AVM P. Oahimire on Wednesday in Osogbo.

Oahimire is the Director-General of the Nigerian Air Force Research and Development Institute, currently visiting to strengthen collaboration with the state government.

He reaffirmed his administration’s commitment to working closely with military institutions for technological growth and enhanced regional security.

In response, the Director-General lauded the state government’s proactive efforts across several sectors, particularly in sustaining peace and stability throughout the state.

Oahimire proposed establishing a joint task force to pre-emptively combat crime and improve security across Osun.

He appreciated the deputy governor’s recent visit to the Officers Mess and acknowledged the government’s support for its development.

He reminded the governor of the state’s promise to construct a swimming pool and lawn tennis court at the Officers Mess, as earlier pledged. (NAN)
