Troops of the Nigerian Army in Plateau State on clearance mission have rescued Rev Ephraim Yakubu, who was kidnapped on December 3.
According to reports, troops on a clearance patrol in the Miango axis engaged k!dnappers in a fierce exchange.
The criminals fled, and Reverend Yakubu was discovered tied under a rock, injured but alive.
He has been taken to 3 Division Military Specialist Hospital (3 DMSH) for urgent medical care.
Troops also recovered 1 locally fabricated rifle, 1 magazine with 8 rounds of 9mm ammunition
Authorities say the k!dnappers are still on the run, and efforts are ongoing to track them down.
