Troops of the 12 Brigade Nigerian Army carried out coordinated ambush and patrol operations in Kabba Bunu and Yagba West LGAs of Kogi State on January 3, 2026.
Acting on intelligence, soldiers ambushed bandits on a known route, killing two and recovering weapons and ammunition.
Another operation in Saminaka forest led to the recovery of more weapons and a neutralized bandit.
A suspected logistics supplier, Sunday Adedotun, was also arrested with drinks and supplies believed to support the criminals.
The Army says pressure on bandit networks will continue.
