The Supreme Court has reacted to the incident which its building in Abuja on Monday creating fears that the incident must have been a deliberate plot to cause confusion given the sensitive cases before the court.
Spokesperson, Supreme Court of Nigeria, Festus Akande, while reacting to the incident said: “The fire incident will have no material effect on the work of the supreme court, especially regarding the presidential election petition.
“We have an e-library in the Supreme Court, whatever is lost there can be retrieved.
The fire incident occurred in the early hours of Monday.
Details of the extent of damage and the possible cause of the inferno are yet to be made public.
