Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki has called on the people of Kogi State to vote for Senator Dino Melaye and reject other candidates in the November 6 gubernatorial elections in the state.
Saraki while campaigning for the Peoples’ Democratic Party candidate said: “Dino was in House of Representatives, a Senator while the other one is a local government auditor. Senator Dino Melaye is a man of the people. He is a fighter with a proven track record, an advocate who lends his voice to those who need one, and a leader whose grassroots support cannot be ignored.
“This is why, yesterday, it was truly remarkable to see the outpouring of support for Dino, the gubernatorial candidate, and his running mate Hon. Habeebat Deen at the flag-off of the PDP campaign in the Confluence State.
“After being let down by the current APC administration, as the people of Kogi prepare for their gubernatorial election, I am convinced that amongst all the candidates, Senator Dino is the right person to lead Kogi State into a new era of prosperity and development.
“He is a passionate and dedicated leader who will dance, sing, and work for the good people of Kogi.
“This is why, I urge all PDP leaders, supporters, and other stakeholders to put aside any grievances they may have with Senator Melaye and focus on the bigger picture.
“This election is an opportunity to rescue Kogi State from the current APC administration and put it on a path to prosperity and development.
