Fury beats Whytte with 6th round KO, remains unbeaten

The WBC heavy weight champion, Tyson Fury secured a sixth round knock out of challenger, Dillian Whyte, to keep his titles and remain unbeaten in his career.

Tyson Fury is now unbeaten in his 33 professional fights with 32 wins and one draw.

The draw came in the first fight with Deontay Wilder, although many people, including Fury himself, thought he should have won that one too.

Of those 32 wins, 23 have been inside the distance.

Tyson Fury’s wife Paris has said the WBC champion had nothing more to prove to the world of boxing.

She told talkSPORT: “The world has seen him reach the pinnacle. He’s just proved it again, the top quality that he is.

“I don’t enjoy this one bit. This is great, the celebratory bit. But all the lead-up and actual fight is a horrible situation to be in.

“He’s got nothing else to prove in the whole world.”

In the post-fight news conference, Tyson Fury has just paid tribute to promoter Frank Warren.

After beating Wladimir Klitschko in 2015, Fury, beset with personal problems, did not fight for two and a half years and went up to 28 stone, before he managed to get back in fighting condition and return to the ring.

“Frank brought me back from the brink of death when everyone else was scared to get me in the ring,” said Fury.

“He brought me back from being a fat man of 28 stone.” BBC
