Former Governor of Ekiti State, Dr Kayode Fayemi paid glowing tribute to the late Deputy Governor, Chief Bisi Egbeyemi who was laid to rest on Friday in Ado Ekiti.
The funeral service for the late politician held at the Cathedral Church of Emmanuel, Anglican Communion, Okesa, Ado-EKiti was also attended by former Minister of Industries, Otunba Niyi Adebayo and Governor Biodun Oyenbanji.
Fayemi in his tribute said: “Baba was a skilled politician and a selfless leader. He always prioritised the needs of the people over his own. His dedication to the common good was remarkable, and I am fortunate to have had such a reliable and supportive deputy.
“Together, we worked tirelessly to achieve our shared vision of a stable and prosperous Ekiti State, guided by the timeless values of Omoluabi. As we bid farewell to Chief Bisi Egbeyemi today, let us remember him not just for his accomplishments, but also for his kindness, generosity, wise counsel, devotion to family, and unwavering commitment to public service.
“May his soul rest in eternal peace, and may his loved ones find the strength and courage to navigate through this difficult time. Amen.
