The Department of State Service (DSS) has confirmed the release of the former Chairmen of the Economi and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) Abdulrasheed Bawa, from its custody late Wednesday night.
In a statement issued by the Director, Public Relations and Strategic Communications DSS, Dr. Peter Afunanya, said the Bawa was released to his family without further explanations.
The former Chairman of the EFCC has been in detention since he was suspended by the new regime of President Bola Tinubu.
A new Chairman has just been appointed and confirmed by the Senate for the Commission.
