…….with a book launch
Crystal Academy, a private school in Akute, Ogun State recently celebrated its 20 years of operations with lots of testimonies to show forth the goodness of God.
It was a three-in-one celebration for the Founder, Dr Makeyor Michael Oladun, his wife, Mrs Oshoke Charity Oladun, the proprietress who also marked her birthday and it was also an occasion for the launch of a book authored by Dr. Oladun.
The occasion attended by stakeholders in education in Ogun State, parents and guardians of the students of the school was also laced with outstanding testimonies from the school’s alumni in higher institutions both within and outside the country.
The book entitled: Entrepreneurship for Senior Secondary Schools, an ordinary level text book was also launched that day by Mr.Dele Adesina (SAN) former Secretary General of the Nigeria Bar Association (NBA) assisted by Mr. Tokunbo Olofin, as a co-launcher, other invited guests and parents present at the event.
Speaking at the event, Dr Oladun said that; ‘he was divinely guided to establish the school on his wife’s birthday in 2004 where indigent pupils, children of widows and orphans can enjoy scholarship, a vision which he said the school has pursued till date and for which there are testimonies today of God’s faithfulness on the school’s operations.
According to him, “ we started the construction of Crystal Academy Schools in June 2004 and surprisingly the dedication of the institution was held on the 26th of October 2004 in fulfillment of the vision God gave”.
He said; “the classes commenced officially on the 3rd of November, 2004 with four teaching staff members for the three students admitted. We had a total of 15 students at the end of the 2004/2005 academic session”.
The occasion also featured the testimonies of their former students who are now graduates with some currently undergoing post graduate studies in leading institutions of higher learning within and outside Nigeria.
At the thanksgiving for the birthday of the proprietress, Reverend Jacob Ajulo of the Bible Believers Church Ministry, who ministered made reference to Psalm 103 while admonishing the birthday celebrant that she has every reason to celebrate the hand of God that sustained her.
Special guests at the event include; Rev. Ajulo J.S. who was the Chairman of the event and Guest Speaker, Mr. Bosun Falore, Chairman, Mindbuilders School, Ikeja and Special Guest of Honour.
Others are Mrs. Fatuyi, Proprietress Breakthrough Academy, Akute and a Special Guest of Honour, Pastor. Festus Adewale, General Overseer of the Christ Crusaders Church, who gave the welcome charge at the event.
Other Co.launchers includes: Mr. Adekunle Agbelu, representative of Mindbuilders School, Ikeja, Pastor. Seyi Fasugba of the Winners Chapel who reviewed the book at the event, Mr & Mrs. Rekiyat Momoh, MD/CEO, PHCN& Eko Electric, and other co-launchers are Mr.MomohJimoh & Mrs Scott Ikharo( PhD, Pastor Dele Salewon of NCP- RCCG, Pastor Shedrach Inegbenose of Christ Embassy, Dr. Frank Dania, Mr.Jimmy and Mr. Jude- Michael Momoh all did their launching all the way from USA. We have others from Nigeria who were Co.Launchers, Mr. Solomon Akere, Dr. Femi Omoniyi, Amb. Dr. Stephen Enike Matthew, Mr. Valentine Obi and a host of others launched the book handsomely.
Other invited guests include Mr. Ayantoye, CDC Secretary and Representing the Community, Mr. Feni the PRO of the CDA and other Excos from Otitolere CDA, Pastor Samuel Ariyo of the Living Faith Church, Akute who offered Prayers for the family, Pastor.and Mrs Ohinoyi Olorunda, ex classmate of the Founder, in LMC, 1977 set, Mr Dele Adegbola, ex. Classmate of the Founder in Secondary School at LMC, Ageva- Okene, Engr. Samuel Bimbo Aluko, 1980 set, ex. junior student of the Founder of Crystal Academy, Engr. Ganiyu Akintayo, Special Guest, formerly of Nestle Nigeria Plc, Agbara, Pastor. Jide Ariyibi of the Living Faith Church, Akute Area, Ambassador. Dr. Stephen Enike-Matthew was a special guest & Co-launchers of the Book, Pastor and Deaconess Darlington Chukwu, Area 25 Pastor, Living Faith Faith Church, Akute and Mama Ashore, over 80-year old WSF officer in Akute. Elder Sonny Odusote of the New Covenant Parish, RCCG, Oklahoma City in USA was also amongst the Co.Launchers, other co.launchers in Nigeria included Mr.Adebiyi R.Busayo, Dr Soala and Pastor Clement Apayimen.
