Trump’s plan on Gaza jolts world leaders, Saudi Arabia kicks

President Trump has announced that the United States is taking over the Gaza Strip as Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu listens.

Meanwhile, Saudi Arabia in response said that nothing short of a Palestinian state will be acceptable in the Middle East.

“This is just a demolition site. Virtually every building is down. They’re living under fallen concrete that’s very dangerous, ” Trump said during the meeting.

“The US will take over the Gaza Strip, and we will do a job with it too. We’ll own it and be responsible for dismantling all of the dangerous unexploded bombs and other weapons on the site…”

Saudi Arabia quickly responded, clarifying that it will not normalize relations with Israel without the establishment of a Palestinian state, directly contradicting Trump’s proposal.

The Gaza Strip has been at the centre of hostilities between Israel and Hamas, the militant wing of the Palestinian state agitators.

During a news conference at the White House, President Donald J. Trump announced plans for the United States to take over the Gaza Strip, proposing the area’s redevelopment into what he referred to as ‘the Riviera of the Middle East’.

This statement came amidst discussions on the potential permanent displacement of Gaza’s Palestinian population.
