The 1 Division Nigerian Army in Kaduna has paid a heartfelt tribute to its beloved mascot, Sgt. Dalet Akawala, a military horse that passed away on January 24, 2025.
A regimental funeral ceremony was held in his honor, recognizing his courageous and conviction-driven service to the country.
The solemn event took place at the Division Headquarters Complex in Kawo, Kaduna, and was presided over by Colonel I.A. Akabike, the Deputy Chief of Staff, Administration.
Sgt. Dalet Akawala will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on as a symbol of bravery and dedication. R.I.P.
