President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and the First lady, Sen. Oluremi Tinubu on Saturday departed Rio De Janeiro after participating in the 2024 G-20 leaders’ summit in Brazil.
The entourage is expected to arrive Abuja later in the day.
The Nigerian presidential air plane took off at Galeao Air Force Base, Rio de Janeiro at about twenty minutes past ten am local time.
Nigeria was invited as a guest country for participation at the summit of the twenty biggest economies in world.
At the summit, President Bola Tinubu announced commitment of Nigeria to the Global Alliance against Hunger and Poverty, launched by the Brazilian presidency of G-20.
The Nigerian leader also had some bilateral meetings and saw to the signing of letter of intent for Nigeria’s partnership with three Brazilian companies to facilitate development of Nigeria’s livestock sector.
