An address from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has been aired on domestic television as part of a 7 October memorial event.
He speaks of his determination to “bring our hostages home, whether they are alive or not”.
“We will not give up any single one of them,” he said.
Netanyahu also says there is a need to continue fighting to “thwart any future threat against the state of Israel”.
He said: “a mountain of bereavement” has cast a shadow over Israel, before ending by saying: “Believe me, victory is the light.”
