Niger Rep’s junta forges ahead, appoints new Govs for 8 regions

Niger Republic’s military junta has decided to forge ahead in spite of the threats and demands of the sub regional body, ECOWAS to restore the ousted President Mohamed Bazoum and constitutional democracy overthrown in a coup d’états.

The military regime has gone ahead to appoint governors for the country’s eight regions.

In a broadcast on the national television, the regime’s spokesman announced the military governors.

They are;

Agadez – Brigade General Ibro Boulama

Dosso – Brigadier General Iro Oumarou

Diffa – Brigadier General Ibrahim Bagadoma

Niamey – Brigadier General Abdou Assouman Harouna

Tahoua – Major Colonel Oumarou Tawayé

Maradi – Inspector General of Police Issoufou Mamane

Tillabery – Lieutenant Colonel Maïna Boukar

Zinder – Colonel EF Labo Issoufou
