Elumelu with King Charles, Biden, says Africa is centre of Climate Financing

Group Chairman of the United Bank for Africa, (UBA) Mr. Tony Elumelu on Monday in London, United Kingdom, joined a group of leading philanthropies, companies, and investors for the Climate Finance Mobilisation Forum at the invitation of King Charles III and President Joe Biden of the United States.

A statement from the UBA Group said: “This forum aims to attract a new generation of capital to combat climate change and discuss the critical issue of climate finance and its impact on our planet’s future.

“As a prominent figure in the world of finance and a passionate advocate for sustainable development, Elumelu’s participation in this forum highlights his commitment to finding innovative solutions to combat climate change and create a more environmentally friendly world, prioritising the provision of traditional and renewable energy for Africans, while also addressing Africa’s current energy deficit.

“As the urgency for action on Climate Change brews, it’s important to note that Climate Finance is the bridge and necessary step to driving the conversation”.
