Presidency: Buhari’s regime diversified economy, reduced insecurity

The Presidency has defended the achievements of President Muhammadu Buhari in the last eight years of the administration even as his tenure ends in less than two months.

The Special Adviser on Media and Publicity to President Buhari, Mr Femi Adesina stated this as guest of Channels television on Monday when he reminded Nigerians that prior to this time, Nigeria’s economy relied on oil which was subject to varying circumstances in the international market but with the pursuit of vibrant economic policy of his administration through diversification the economy has improved the GDP from other products.

“The present government, met a mono-economy but the country now has a diversified economy due to the government’s efforts”. 

He also enumerated the achievements of the administration in security declaring that prior to the regime, the insurgents were holding on to 17 local government areas in Borno State before they were dislodged by the concerted efforts of the Armed Forces.

According to him, “the year 2022 recorded the least number of deaths due to insurgency, others”.

He explained further that President Buhari never promised to sell off the presidential fleet but to look into it and which the President did by deploying some of them out of the presidential fleet.
