Troops kill scores of Boko Haram terrorists in Niger Rep

The Troops of Sector 4 Multi National Joint Task Force, (MNJTF) have neutralised several Boko Haram terrorists who fled from Sambisa Forest to the axis of Lake Chad, Niger Republic side.

It was gathered that the elimination of the terrorists followed an intelligence report indicating massive movement of Boko Haram fighters wielding various types of weapons in company of women and children.

Reports indicate that the women and children, who were in majority of the flow, were taken care of by the staff of SECTOR 4 of the Multinational Mixed Force (MMF) before being transferred to the forces armée nigerienne, for profiling. 

In the east of the Niger Republic, the week was particularly marked by massive wave movements of terrorists and their families from the SAMBISSA forest in Nigeria to Lake Chad, on the Niger Republic side.

At least 1,500 of the terrorists have surrendered within the past two weeks amidst deadly confrontation between the Boko Haram and the ISWAP group.
