EFCC seeks to collaborate with CITN on tax matters

The Executive Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa, has stated the Commission’s resolve to improve its collaboration with the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria, (CITN), in areas of capacity building and advocacy to check tax fraud, among issues beneficial to both institutions.

He made the pledge at the Commission’s headquarters, Abuja, when the President of the Institute, Chief Adesina Adedayo, led the institute’s management team to the EFCC on a courtesy visit.

Bawa urged CITN to set up a technical committee that will come up with a Memorandum of Understanding which will provide the blueprint for the collaboration between the institutions.

“We are open to work with you. Let us set up a technical committee that will come up with an MoU. I thank you for your proposal of collaboration and I am telling you here that we are willing to do that,” he said.
