The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Gombe State chapter has accused the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in the state of plot to clone its gubernatorial candidate, Mohammed Jibrin Barde’s voice to defame his good reputation to reduce his political chances in the forthcoming election.
We have credible information that they are trying to clone his voice to frame him abusing the emirs and religious leaders in Gombe State.
In a statement issued by the PDP Deputy Director General On Media, Atiku/Danbarde Campaign Management Council, Gombe State, Alhaji Junaidu Usman Abubakar said the PDP in the state has utmost regard for our traditional and religious leaders and institutions.
Abusing Emirs and religious leaders is one of the characteristics of APC; knowing that they have failed, they have now resolved to attempts to cheaply blackmail our candidate whose popularity has grown beyond APC’s expectations.
Mohammed Jibrin Barde has proven practically beyond any reasonable doubt that he will never use political thugs to achieve his dream of becoming the next Governor in Gombe State in as much as he will not use his own biological son for political thuggery.
We are therefore, calling on all stakeholders, security agencies in Nigeria and the world especially United Nations, Human Rights Watch, European Election observers and all other relevant agencies to kindly take note and pay attention to Gombe State.
PDP is committed to peaceful campaigns and we want Gombe State to remain peaceful before, during and after the 2023 elections.
