…….Boko Haram Commanders surrender to Troops to escape onslaught

A sustained deadly rival clash between the the Jamā’at Ahl as-Sunnah lid-Da’wah wa’l-Jihād and the Islamic State of the West African Province (ISWAP), has claimed several lives.

It was gathered that the ISWAP terrorists carried out reprisal attacks on the JAS positions in Mantari and Maimusari otherwise known as Gaizuwa in Bama LGA, killing several fighters and destroying their makeshift homes on January 22.

A counter insurgency expert and security analyst in the Lake Chad, said that the ISWAP Group successfully dislodged Boko Haram forcing the fighters and their families to flee their camps.

The sources said that hundreds of the insurgents including top Commanders who fled from the battlefield for the fear of being elimination later surrendered to the troops of Operation Hadin Kai in Konduga and Banki.
