7 benefit from NLNG UK postgraduate scholarship scheme 

The Nigeria Liquified Natural Gas Limited (NLNG), has awarded postgraduate scholarships to seven graduates to pursue master’s degree in the United Kingdom.

NLNG’s General Manager, External Relations and Sustainable Development, Mrs Sophia Horsfall, disclosed this in a statement on Monday in Port Harcourt by the company’s spokesperson, Mrs Anne-Marie Palmer-Ikuku.

Horsfall stated that the recipients were selected after a rigorous screening process that involved several other candidates.

The NLNG official said that the successful candidates would be sponsored to study courses that were critical to national development.

She listed the courses to include, Civil Engineering, Renewable Energy Management and Advanced Chemical Engineering

Others are Marine and Offshore Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Systems, Industrial Robotics, and Advanced Structural Engineering.

“These scholars represent the best of Nigeria’s talent, and we are proud to support their journey towards global excellence.

“Their scholarship covers tuition, living expenses, accommodation, travel, and other academic-related costs,” she said.

Horsfall further said that the scholarship scheme reflected NLNG’s commitment to sustainable development through investment in human capital.

She stated that the gesture was also to commemorate the company’s 35 years of incorporation and 25 years of successful operations in the country.

The NLNG spokesperson said that the company’s postgraduate scholarship programme had since its inception benefited no fewer 523 graduates across various disciplines.

“It has created a network of professionals that are contributing to development both locally and internationally,” she said. (NAN)
