The retirement of Alhaji Bashir Idris Magaji Garga, Director of NEMA’s North Central Zone, who has exited the Federal Civil Service upon reaching the age of 60 marks a significant milestone.

A prince from Kanam Local Government Area of Plateau State, Mr. Garga has had an illustrious career, serving across all tiers of government.

With 15 years at NEMA, he began in the Human Resources Department, later becoming Deputy Director of Operations, and ultimately serving as Director of the North Central Zone. His experience also included roles as Local Government Chairman and Director with the Plateau State Government. Notably, he served as the National Assembly Liaison for NEMA, establishing himself as a respected liaison officer.

Mr. Garga is celebrated for his excellent relationships with colleagues and for mentoring younger staff. His humility was evident when he accepted a lower position after previously holding a directorate role elsewhere. Known for his friendliness, courage, and literary skills, he retires in good health, poised for future contributions to public service.

Alhaji (Prince) Bashir Idris Magaji Garga, Dokaji Kanam, had a distinguished career in civil service and a promising future ahead.
