Governor Abdulfatah Ahmed of Kwara State has announced the dissolution of his cabinet and asked Permanent Secretaries of various Ministries to take over.
Secretary to the State Government (SSG), Alhaji Isiaka Gold who announced the dissolution in a statement said the dissolution was with immediate effect.
The SSG said Special Advisers (SAs), Senior Special Assistants (SSAs) and Special Assistants (SAs) were also affected in the development.
According to Gold, the governor directed the Commissioners to hand over to the permanent secretaries of their Ministries.
He said the governor has assured citizens of the state that additional measures had been put in place to sustain government business pending the reconstitution of the state executive council.
Gold also said Gov Ahmed thanked the former Commissioners, Special Advisers and Special Assistants for their valuable services and contributions to the running of government while their stay lasted wishing them the best of luck in their future endeavours.
