Governor Hassan Dankwabo has called for more commitment of the Federal Government in a concerted effort to rebuild the North East after the Boko Haram insurgency.
Speaking while receiving members of the Presidential Committee on the North East Initiative who paid a courtesy call to his office, Gov Dankwambo welcome the members and their initiatives in rebuilding the insurgency ravaged areas of the region
The Committee led by its vice chairman, Alhaji Tijjani Tumsah explained the mandate of the committee as the apex coordinating body of all intervention in the Northeast and expressed the commitment of the federal government to redevelop the region.
Tumsa thanked Governor Dankwambo for the warm reception the committee recieved.
He stated that shelter and livelihood support were outline as the major plan of the committee.
He reiterated the commitment of President Muhammadu Buhari to redevelop the North East in which Gombe is among the beneficiaries.
