Gombe Gov explains to civil servants govt reforms

Gombe State Governor, Muhammad Inuwa Yahaya, has told top civil servants in the State that his administration introduced far reaching reforms in Government service with the aim of improving efficiency, effectiveness and professionalism.

The Governor said, he has not been disappointed because there is now better service delivery with increased accountability and transparency.  

He spoke through his Chief of Staff, Abubakar Inuwa Kari, when he hosted Permanent Secretaries and other top Senior civil servants to the Ramadan breaking of fast (Iftar) at the Government House, Wednesday evening.

He assured civil servants in the State that his administration will continue to churn out policies and programmes that will create a favourable environment for them to carry out their statutory responsibilities. 

The Governor also acknowledged and attributed the successes of his administration to the contributions and support of civil servants and bureaucrats in the State. 

Chairperson of the Gombe State Civil Service Commission, Hajiya Rabi Shuaibu Jimeta in response, said civil servants in the  State have every reason to be grateful to the administration of Governor Inuwa Yahaya in view of the  sanity he brought to bear in the service. 

She assured that civil servants in the State will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the administration of Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya in the overall interest of the State. 

The Chairman of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), Gombe State Chapter, Musa Adamu, who spoke on behalf of the State’s workers,  expressed gratitude to Governor Inuwa Yahaya for implementing the 30,000 naira minimum wage. 

While appreciating the Governor for the Ramadan Iftar, the NLC chairman assured him of the support, solidarity and cooperation of workers for the success of his administration.
