COVID 19: CJN Suspends Court Sittings To Protect Justices, Judges, Staff

The Chief Justice of Nigeria, Justice T Muhammad has suspended the court sessions effect from Tuesday March 24 as a preventive measure to protect judges and judiciary workers from the spread of coronavirus.

In a letter released by his office on Monday and directed to all heads of courts and judicial office Justice Muhammad said the suspension will be for an initial of two weeks after which there shall be review of developments.

The statement said the courts may have to convene in matters of urgent, instant and time bound before any of the courts.
