Theatre Commander, Joint Task Force (JTF) North East Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), Maj.-Gen. Gold Chibuisi, has charged the air component to sustain the tempo of the operation, to decimate the terrorists and their activities in the entire North East.
Chibiusi gave the charge on Tuesday when he visited the Air Command Component in Maiduguri, in continuation of his familiarization visit to formations and units under the theatre command.
He pledged all necessary support to the component, to aid the command’s operational activities.
On arrival at the Air Force Base, the theatre commander was received by Air Commodore G.I. Jibia, the Air Component Commander OPHK, alongside the Commander, 105 Composite Group, Air Commodore EP Bindul.
Thereafter, Gen. Gold Chibuisi was briefed about the operational activities of the component.
The theatre commander, who was visibly impressed by troops turn out, also commended the detailed brief, which according to him, broadened his understanding of the activities of the air component.
According to him, the support from Air Component Command cannot be overemphasized as it has positively impacted on the operational activities of OPHK.
The highlight of the visit was the inspection of Quarter Guards, presentation of brief, group photograph, presentation of souvenirs, tour of facilities and signing of visitors’ book. By: Zagazola Makama
