The Katsina Emirate Council has cancelled Sallah Durbar, popularly called ‘Hawan-Sallah’. Governor Muhammad Badaru of Jigawa State has approved the appointment of retired Brig.- Gen. Garba Mairiga Ringim as his Senior Special Assistant(SSA) on security matters. The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) Command in Kano State has deployed 1,820 personnel to ensure a hitch-free Eid-el-Fitr celebration in the state.
