Flood Sacks Otuoke, Ex-President Jonathan’s Community In Bayelsa

  Flood has taken over parts of Otuoke Community, hometown of former President Goodluck Jonathan in Bayelsa.Otuoke is located in Ogbia Local Government Area of Bayelsa State and one of the communities mostly affected by flood disasters. Senate Asks CBN To Stop Banks’ ATM Maintenance Charges

……Moves Against Illicit, Excessive Bank Charges The Senate on Wednesday urged the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) to suspend the Automatic Teller Machine (ATM) card maintenance charges being deducted from customers. INEC Projects 80m Registered Voters Ahead Of 2019 Elections

The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) said on Thursday that more than 80 million registered Nigerians were expected to vote during the 2019 general elections in the country. Sierra Leone Cancels $400m Contract For China-Funded Airport

The Sierra Leone says it has cancelled a $400m contract with China to build a new airport. Aviation Minister, Kabineh Kallon, said the facility wasn’t necessary and the current airport would be renovated instead. Bayelsa State on Sunday directed immediate closure of schools to avoid loss of lives in the flood currently ravaging the state.
