A 21-year-old woman, simply identified as Blessing, has been arrested in Lagos accused of stealing a one-month-old baby boy.
The Public Relations Officer, SP Benjamin Hundeyin, who confirmed the incident on Wednesday said the case was reported at the Elere Police Division on Monday at 2.30p.m.
He said the mother of the baby reported that at about 7.00a.m. on Saturday, while she was sleeping at home with her baby, Blessing allegedly stole her child and went away.
The police spokesman said that the suspect was later traced to Agbotikuyo in Agege area of the state where the baby was recovered from her adding that investigation was ongoing on the matter.
