Don’t Vote For Looters, Oshiomhole Tells Kwarans

National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Comrade Adams Oshiomhole has called on the people of Kwara state not to vote for the candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) that have looted the country for 16 years.

Oshiomhole made the call on Monday in Ilorin while addressing mammoth crowd of APC members and supporters at the Presidential campaign for the re-election of President Muhammadu Buhari and Prof Yemi Osinbajo.

Oshiomhole advised the people of Kwara to be weary of PDP and its Presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar who has promised to enrich his friends if elected the President.

He therefore appealed to the people to vote massively for President Buhari who has changed the essence of governance in Nigeria.

“While President Buhari is fighting corruption and putting looters in jail, Atiku promises to give amnesty to looters.

“When Buhari says he will protect the Naira and defend Nigeria success economically, PDP promises to pursue wholesale privatisation of Nigeria assets.

“When Buhari promises to protect Nigerian farmers and make Nigerians eat Nigeria food, Atiku promises wholesale, reckless liberalisation that will make Nigeria import food,” Oshiomhole said.

He told the crowd that the end of Senator Bukola Saraki has come, adding; “we are here to celebrate the end of Bukola Saraki,” the chairman said.

He appealed to the people of the state to vote for all APC candidates on Saturday, February 16 to finally dislodge Bukola Saraki from Kwara politics.

Oshiomhole lamented that for 16 years, Senator Saraki has overshoot the debt burden of the state.

“I am here to see the actual translation of enough is enough, the era of your oppression is over.

“Era of oppression is over, I join you in Kwara to celebrate your freedom,” he said.

Oshiomhole assured the people of the state that with Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq as the Governor, they are all in good hand.

The State chairman of the party, Hon Bashir Bolarinwa told the crowd that the era of god fathers was over in the state.

He lamented that by May 29, Kwara would be 52 years as state, but there was nothing to show for it.

“Sadly, Kwara is a typical example of retardation in evolution; this has been due to the machination of a succeeding dynasty that has continue to pauperise the state,” he added.

Bolarinwa added that Kwara was lacking in all spheres of development when compare to states created in 1976 upward.

He said the collective resolve of the people of the state was that enough is enough of the oligarchy that has held down the progress of the state for over 16 years.

Bolarinwa therefore called on the people of Kwara to come out in their thousands to cast their votes for all APC candidates on Saturday.

Hallmark of the campaign was the presentation of APC flag to the governorship candidate, Abdulrahman AbdulRazaq by the national chairman of the party.

Speaking after receiving the flag, the governorship hopeful expressed dismay at the total collapse of infrastructure in the state.

He said he has traverse the length and breadth of the state, adding that what he met on ground in term of infrastructure was abysmal.

AbdulRazaq therefore promised to fix infrastructure in the state if elected.
