The Managing Director of Dangote Sugar, Egnr Abdullahi Sule, has declared his intension to contest for the Governorship of Nasarawa State.
Sule made the declaration on Sunday while he led his campaign team to the Headquarters of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Lafia.
According to him, he has gathered enough experience from the private sector and was never found wanting for corruption.
He said even though he is not yet the Governor of the state, he has influenced a multi-billion investment from Dangote Group to the state.
Sule added that Dangote is currently investing in Sugar and rice production in Tunga area of Awe Local Government Area of the state.
He said that the company, if completed, would generate over 30, 000 employment opportunities.
The MD explained that if voted as the Governor, he would attract more foreign and local investments to the state in order to create jobs.
He also promised to address the frequent farmers/herdsmen crisis by adopting a workable solution which would be acceptable to both parties.
Sule therefore urged party delegates to vote for statesmen that would promote peace, unity and consolidate on the achievements of Gov Umaru Al-Makura.
He donated one 18-seater bus to the state Secretariat of the party.
Responding, Philip Shekwo, APC chairman in the state expressed gratitude to the aspirant for the donation of the bus to the party Secretariat.
He assured all aspirants contesting for election in APC of a level playing ground.
The Chairman therefore advised all of them to go about their consultations without any rancour for the progress of the party at all levels.
