The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has declared the incumbent governor of Kano State and candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Abdullahi Ganduje, as winner of the just concluded governorship re-run election in the state. Governor Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto state on Sunday survived the tough challenge of his former Deputy, Ahmed Aliyu and his godfather Senator Aliyu Wamakko of the All Progressives Congress to win re-election for a second term.
